I think you should definitely look at the ECS kit. Those guys have been doing crazy things with LSs long before the Camaro.

ECS is def on the table. I've talked to a lot of people that love their set up.

The 2300 is a great reliable kit, the most reliable imo. It can make your goal of 680 easily and give u a rush from the instant you touch the throttle like no other.you can also come in well under your budget as well...if we can help you out give us a call

Keep in mind you can alacarte your ECS kit, I paid the difference and upgraded to Id 850s as well as other things, and I came out cheaper the most TVS kits. Give Matt a call.

That'll net you 680+rwhp:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showpo...88&postcount=2

Leave out the new engine block bit and the forged RA and you should be good!

Although 680+ is a number where you should start thinking about beefing up the internals.

it looks like the bigger displacement roots or centrifugal superchargers have been the way to go for 680+. Im looking into an ECS kit myself and plan to run meth and a new clutch with it as i think the stocker i got will blow out.

I got to 693 with an IPS kit at 9.5psi. I had boost controller but if you're trying to save money you don't need one. The kit came with injectors and a boost-a-pump and I had a snow meth kit ( which I strongly advise against. Go with alky control or something). Aftermarket clutch and that's all I had. Everything else was stock. Many ways to skin a cat though.

When looking for 650rwhp they all cost about the same. When looking for 800rwhp there can be a huge difference in price depending on brand/type.

Disagree. Turbo kit will hit 650 for less than any thing besides n2o.

agreed. Turbo kit cost a little more but you don't need to buy headers and a cam to make 680 so it comes out cheaper.
