That was a smoking deal IMHO. was that through a private person or dealer?

it took 8 years for this thread to take off lmao

i paid 20 large at the dealer minus 10k trade in (on a 6 year old 90k mile genesis coupe that msrp'd for 26k lol), also right in mid 2020 when dealers couldnt pay people to even go on a test drive. it had 48k miles with the interior in 9/10 condition while the exterior is a high 7 or low 8, mostly due to clearcoat swirls out the ass and a bit of door damage where i think the tip got rapidly acquainted with a parking pylon. but being bright yellow you cant see the swirls more than a foot away and the door still closes and seals without any noise or rubbing so bfd. also the po put on a rotofab intake, a wicker bill and about 6 1le badges (score).
for 10 grand and getting rid of my aging hyundai, i think i came out pretty good despite the less than mint exterior especially with it being fully optioned and my runner up dream car (1st place being a blue devil c6 zr1).

I bought my 2015 Camaro LS brand new with 12 miles on it in November 2015 for $17,000 plus tax. $18,500 total. I was fortunate that Chevy was releasing a new Camaro in 2016 and the dealers were basically giving away the 15s to make room.

I bought my 1995 Z28 in 2000 with 33,000 miles on it for $9400. I feel I got a killer deal there too. Original owner, all paperwork, mint condition. Car prices were more reasonable then though.

Sure, why not.

Bought my Silver Ice Metallic 2011 SS 2SS M6 with 64,000 miles. Pretty decent condition over all. Need a fix on the rear bumper and some rock chip fixes (I live in Alaska... so, that's a thing.) Paid $22,500 out the door at a dealer. I found similar vehicles in the states for $18,500-$20,000 (or more). So, I think I got a pretty decent deal considering any of those would've required me personally going and flying down to drive them up here (wasn't looking forward to the Canada part of that) or shipping it up here - $4,000ish. Now it's at the dealer getting something with gears 1-2 fixed, yay for a dealership honoring their 60 day warranty. Can't drive it anyways, cause, winter...

2013 camaro ss. Paid 7200+all the fees from copart, sight unseen. It had 48,000 miles, rear end damage but all air bags and seatbelts intact in 2018.

Had a tree limb stuck through the trunk wall. I replaced the trunk lid from the salvage yard, pulled the dents out to length with my sons swing set, applied some kitty hair, bondo, primer, paint, CAI, headers, tune, zl1 take off mufflers and it now has 100k miles, runs perfect, one of the best cars I’ve ever had. Looks real good from about 30 feet away

I know prices are higher now as I got lucky and bought my '11 Corvette GS in November 2019 right before prices went out the roof so I knew a Camaro would be higher now than a few years ago. I found an '11 Camaro 2SS convertible with 5k miles for $27500 out the door. I wanted a 6M but this one was too nice, I really like inferno orange, and 2011 is my favorite year, so I went L99. The only thing I had to do was run a polisher over it to get rid of some oxidation. Past that it's in great shape and is stock minus the Borla axle back.

In January of 2021 I bought my 2012 2ss/Rs 6sp manual, all stock except cold air induction and borla cat back, for 17,900 with 87k miles. Runs like a champ. Amazing condition.

It's amazing how prices vary by region. I paid $23K for my 13 SS/RS coupe in late 2019. It had 70K on the odometer at the time. Just paid $28K for my 2015 SS/RS CE vert, 6MT. It has 56K miles on the odom. It still smells new inside and has been garaged all its life.
