Functional Mailslot options

I see Roto has a functional Mailslot conversion for the CAI. Is there a functional slot out there that doesn't hook up to the CAI? I will never go away from my Cold Air Inductions Inc CAI.

I was thinking air flow through the under hood area. I'll be installing the TL1 hood insert . I wish there was a way to route the Mailslot to my CAI inc Intake.

Take a look in my build thread, I have a fully functional mail slot scoop. You may get some ideas from it. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=170726

$300 for the ACS Big Mouth? That's a bit much.

This is an insert that is about the same of the ZL1 thing that cost over 4 000$ in carbon fiber. It does fit your EOM Hood and it is functional also. looks is great. It's ASC composite.

I like the hood inert and will eventually put one on my hood to let some of the under hood heat out.
But I'm trying to find out how to make the mail slot functional with the CAI.
I don't care if I have to purchase a different CAI that I already paid close to $400.00 for. I just like the fact of the straight through design, and with the bottom insulated from the heat from the radiator would be one (IMO) of the best set ups, but the dyno test somewhat shows a different story?
Seems the ADM scoop works very well according to the dyno results.

I have been in that area quite thoroughly. There is no effective way of getting air from the slot to the intake without fabricating a scoop. Even with the kit available to make the slot somewhat functional it allows minimal air flow, none of which benefits the intake. It can be done as I showed in the link I provided to my build.

EOM carbon fiber is in that price range. I have a friend that replaced the EOM because of defects in it. Dealer confir that EOM is close to 4,000$.

ACS is in your price mentionned.
