I would definitely take a Stinger over a Mustang regardless

With something to boast you’d think they would offer an unedited version from start to glorious finish, not just a two second snippet from a so-called flattering angle.

Wow! Awesome. I know we love our 2018 Sorrento SXL. Kia is making some very good cars these days.

What was the elevation/DA? I am suspecting its going to be a NA vs FI situation.

Fake or not, these Korean cars are starting to show their muscle. That’s a fact. Never ever liked Kia or Hyundai, but damn!

The Mustang was a Manual car and the Kia was an automatic... ...great comparison between two completely unrelated cars.

In short, the guy in the Mustang couldn't drive, that or for god knows what reason the Mustangs in Australia are severely de-tuned. In summary, this should not have happened (Mustang ran at the very minimum half a second too slow) and now a bunch of idiots are going to go buying Kia's thinking they can beat Mustang's and Camaro's with them.

None of the mags have run that time.. Plus the Australian version has 410 horsepower.

MT: 12.8 seconds

C&D: 12.9 seconds

Point being the 2015-2017 GT being a high 12's vehicle. So I was wrong in saying it was a 12.6-12.8 range and more like 12.8-13.0 range.

Kia Stinger GT is highly impressive. Fact.

But drag times are just drag times.. I'm sure there's some guy out there that ran 14s with a stock Mustang GT. And then there's another guy running low 12s.

Same driver, same car, same day can easily have half second difference in quarter mile at a day spent at a drag strip.

Throw in different driver and you can have any result.

For reference, the Kia makes do with 365 horsepower from its 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6, while the Mustang is over 400 from its 5.0-liter V8. Motoring Australia pegs the power figure at 410 horsepower, which seems off since Ford claimed 435 horsepower. The Mustang did make 412 horsepower, but that was when it was in the older 2011-2014 5.0.

In any case, the Kia is faster than you’d expect. Nice car.
