- all 3 Perform about the same and are real close in note and flow
- all 3 are priced different and every vendor here has a different price.

1 3/4" is ok but if ya go with 1 7/8" - you'll be good on any other hp upgrade you do to 550rwhp, and the price is the same (or real close).

from my research, ARH and Kooks are a bit above Dynatech in fit and finish. if you search the forums and youtube and look at installed systems you'll see my point. but the Dynatech performance is right there!

now here's what i did......

PM'd almost every vendor in the forums, on ebay, that came up on Google and Yahoo for quotes. i went with Brandon at Maryland speed for a set of Kooks 1 7/8" LT Headers with cats and the Jett Hot 1700 coating and the Corsa Sport Cat Back....

i was going to go with Dynatech because of the price, but like the ARH the best. NOBODY will deal on ARH's and the price shipped i got from Brandon for the Kooks coated beat out the Dynatech's without coating.......i couldn't pass that deal up!

hope this rambling helped......if you havn't called Brandon at Marryland Speed yet, do it now and tell him Wes sent ya. don't PM, ya gotta call him before years end!
i ordered mine from brandon also and he was great to deal with. already have a tracking number and cant wait to get them.

I've met the guys from ARH.

I spoke with Anthony regarding how they build their stuff and what went into the development of building the Camaro Kit.

In my personal opinion they are truly a top notch group of guys. with the right approach to bringing a quality product.

There isn't a lot that one header builder can do differently than another. Mostly it comes down to bends and tube lengths. Based on my conversation's with ARH, I'm confident that they've done everything they can to get as good a product on the Camaro as possible.

Also, the dyno numbers on their stuff is always near the top for performance gains.

I'm putting ARH on my car... FWIW.

Not to say that the others are bad... You just need to find the guys you want to do busniess with.

For me it's ARH.

I just found this post in another header thread.

So you are paying for more power with the ARH system, plus the ARH system is constructed from 304 stainless, SLP is 409 stainless. 304 stainless is a more expensive material, a little bit lighter, and has better heat retaining characteristics. Also, the ARH system goes all the way back to the axle, SLP stops halfway back.

good answer. i am just sick of people saying they are the best and every other brand is lower then them. just because someone has them on thier car doesnt make them the best. all three brands seems to have a great products but just because two are cheaper doesnt make them less of a product. to say you get what you pay for in my book is bullsh!t when it comes to these 3 brands. i got the kooks because thats what i could afford. does that make my kooks any less of a product.... hell no.

Thanks for the posts. I had already seen the SLP stainless grade which is why I wasn't considering them. Their products seem weel built and they have a lot of happy customers, but I was expecting 304 grade and was dissapointed to find that they use 409. Considering ARH is only a couple hundred more than SLP, it's wiser to pay they extra cash for headers that are less likely to rust.

Thanks GTAHVIT

It's definitely between ARH and Kooks. The Kooks have a more attractive price but ARH has won a lot of people over so I'm kind of leaning towards them. Decisions, decisions...

What do you guys think of Stainless Works? I'm not familiar with this company but I've noticed quite a few members have their headers.
