CMP Auto in Calgary - avoid!!

So I walked in on the weekend and spoke with a guy named Tim Jamer (spelling?). Anyway, asked him a bunch of questions about the Camaro, then when I didn't want to buy he became rude implying that I was wasting his time.

I mean if you don't like doing customer service, friggin quit your job. I can't stand people in customer service who act all annoyed that you're "wasting their time". Well, that's in the friggin job description! Imagine a plumber getting all upset because people have clogged pipes, or a doctor getting upset that you had a heart attack. For f&6k sake Tim Jamer, quit your f&3king job if you don't want to serve customers!

Anyway, hoping you Canadian Camaro5 owners will support me on this and at the very least avoid Tim Jamer from CMP auto in Calgary. Some people are just full of themselves and will never learn until we the people unite.

One of many I e-mailed and never got a reply or quote in Jan.
Along with about 5 others. Only 2 responded Jack Carter Chev and My local Dealer Can Bow Motors.
Give Jack a try

When I was in Calagry I worked for Both automotive groups!
If you want to deal with CMP look up Jim Ayer or Marcel Reid Corvette Specialist! Great guys! From when I was there in late 2006 there is only 3 guys including sales managers, business manager's and sales people that are still there today!

Hope this information helps!

Sorry to had to deal with such a dickhead.

Sales people never understand squat. Even if the customer is not interested in buying right now, answer his freggin questions anyway. I promise you from experience as both a consumer and as a business owner, that THE CUSTOMER WILL REMEMBER YOU WHEN IT COMES TIME TO MAKE A PURCHASE. Until then, Chill the F out, pushy salespeople!!!

any more news on CMP? I have found a new one on one of their lots that I am very interested in getting.... but I have been told by others not to deal with them. if buying off the lot would it really matter how crappy they are? I would just walk in pay them and drive away. thoughts?

Bought my Camaro at CMP from Jim Ayer. I have purchased three vehicles now from CMP and would not even think of going anywhere else. I purchased a truck from Jack and it was the worst experience from the sale to the service. one time I waited for almost 1 hour for a salesman to help me at GSL (could not imagine how the service would have been). Trust me CMP is the way to go! Just talk to Marcel or Jim and they will treat you good.

Jack Carter isn't any great shakes either. I can't remember the name of the sales guy, but he was the most un-motivated person I ever met. This is where I put in my first Camaro order which I later canceled (due to a number of reasons). One reason was because it took nearly three weeks to get an order number from him. The other was just from a lack of information from him. Forget an e-mail response. Phone was my only resource if I wanted to communicate with him.

A few months later, after receiving zero info from him on the status of my order, I canceled it. The day I went to pick up my deposit, I got little more than a few grunts from the jerk and sat around for a near hour waiting for finance to refund the deposit. This was only after I had to go on a hunt myself to find out what was going on with the wait.

Had he been a decent individual, I would have went back there when it came time for me to try again on a purchase.

i have never worked professionally as a car salesman,
but they are comission only. usually they get half the net of the sale.
maybe you should ask gm advertizing for info. i can totally see the sales POV, however,
if her handled you differently, he could have groomed you into a future customer instead of pissing you off.
to be honest, your on this forum, which has more info than any stealership.
i dont get why you went to a dealer, unless you wanted to test drive a car, and not put down a deposit.
