Why no trans temp gauge?

Hi. Names Curt. Just bought my first ZL1..2013 black . Convertible. Auto. And only 7400 miles. Has rotofab intake. And full corsa exhaust.

Love this car.

I'm a transmission builder/mechanic..

Any one know why the performance menu in the 13. Is so limited. Like all it shows is coolant temp and batt volts. ? Really batt volts lol.

Why no trans temp gauge. ? Or iat temps. Digital boost? As factory boost gauge is very vague. ?

The 4 pack has options for Trans or Boost. I have a Trans Gauge in my 4 Pack, but I'm an auto 2SS. The ZL1 came with the Boost Gauge instead. The DIC does display trans temp if you cycle through it, I know not as helpful.

I did this instead:

Lots of folks with ZL1's do similar or A-Piller pods for the same gauges. There are a ton of options to overcome those limitations -- time to mod ;o)

In the settings on the radio, can you select what is displayed on the DIC? I can in my truck.

Not sure about trans temp, but be aware (if you're not already) that the convertibles lack a few features found on the coupes.

The convertibles lack the PTM's the coupes have, are limited to 155mph (can be removed via a tune), and a few others I can't think of this early in the morning.

Oh I know. I have hp tuners. For future tune and limits.

And . And some may appreciate me for this. I am working on a way to add PTM modes back to convertible. The ptm is stored in the ebcm. Along with the bcm .well I work for a Chevy dealer. And have been looking into a fix. So far bcm is easy. Just reprogram the bcm with non vert program. But I think the ebcm may need to be changed .

With the aeroforce, you need to enable what the gauge can set. There are 63 or 64 features and I had to enable the ones I wanted to be chosen. I'll see if I can get some pics...

the dashlogic displays the trans temp, pricy but does the job! it also gives iat temps, knock retard, and a lot more features.

its great because it is integrated onto the DIC, so no need for gauges.
