I sure hope not... T-Tops were already an outdated 70's/80's idea when they had 'em in the 4th gen cars.

Not likely. With Camaro having to share a RWD platform with global sedans the architecture isn't there to support that type of design without a lot of extra cost.

If Camaro ever gets its own platform back like the F-body from 1967 to 2002 there would be more design and styling feedom. That doesn't seem likely in the modern automotive industry.

I think the T-Top idea was dead before the FBodies were killed off in 2002. Targa top's had long replaced T-Top designs with the Corvette, Supra, Porsche's, and etc. Another problem with it is public perception which is T-Top's = Mullet mobile. That's on top of everything else already mentioned.

I met a guy who paid $40k to have them done. Yes, $40,000 more than what he paid for the car.

My 1995 "T" top story After a weekend with the tops off, I was blowing down the freeway and heard a wind whistle from my passenger side. I figured the window wasn't tight. i droped the window to reseal it and POOF. I'd forgotten to LOCK the Passenger side :( The "T" top blew out. Thank goodness it landed in the medium and didn't hit a car behind me. Cost me $650 to replace < and with a $500 deductabe i didn't report it to my ins.

Loved the T-tops on my Iroc, but hated the rust issue that came along with it..

I am going to say no. Also, I just don't think the 5th Gen would look good with a T top.

I dont think you will ever see them again, they would look terrible on the 5th gen. I do believe they will eventually add a bigger sunroof.

Lots of reasons why not...

Most could probably be engineered around...even the very good points about safety and crash test regulation. Here's the kicker though...you do that...and it becomes REALLY, REALLY expensive. So expensive that not nearly enough people would buy the option to make it worth the investment.

So they don't. My personal preference is a good, solid, coupe. No sunroof...no convertible...no t-tops. But there are those who do want t-tops...unfortunately, the likelihood of ever seeing t-tops again is 0. :(

I disagree, although I love T-tops, that dam B pillar ruins it. If they got rid of that and made the back window go down it would be great.
