Bolt-On 2013 L99 vs. 2003 Corvette Z06

My car is roughly 100lbs lighter than stock due to weight reduction, and I was rolling with a little less than a 1/4 tank of gas. Full bolt ons.
I encounter a 2003 Z06 with a cat back exhaust and we do 2 lengthy pulls and I beat him by roughly half a car length first time and dead even into triple digits the second time around.

I was so stunned that I went on to google when I got home to confirm what I thought ... 3150 lb car with 405hp 400tq...
This guy knew how to drive and GOT ON IT same time as me?
How is it possible I won and then kept the same pace?

Your 100lbs off puts you at 3760 w/o you in it. Still puts him little over 600lbs less than you. Full bolt on puts you about what? 375-380 at the wheels..and him if stock 345ish at the wheels? What you saw was pretty much about right. Your power to weight ratios are pretty close if he was for sure stock.

Ya his car had a cat back at most. I guess it helps that Im 5'9 170 lbs. The corvette driver must have been a solid 210lbs

Unless your L99 traps 116+ I'm gonna say bad driver on the part of the Z06, or it's a tired car, because when I had my GT, an L99 with tune, headers, exhaust and intake couldn't even touch my 114mph Mustang.

why are you talking trap speeds? this wasnt something done at a 1/4 track. comparing a GT to an L99 and then using that to compare to the 03 Vette holds absolutely no water at all. Thats boarderline ricer math. I beat this and then this beat that so i can beat that as well

First of all, trap has everything to do with a street run from a roll. Research that a bit. Second of all, if an l99 with similar mods can't beat an exhaust/tune 5.0 it's definitely not beating a c5 z06. Get real. Thinking that a car that puts down same power at the wheels and weighs 700 pounds less with better aero is going to be slower than an automatic brick is just being delusional. In this case, I don't doubt the OP beat it, and I've also beat a supercharged ls2 vette, but it doesn't mean my car is faster.

You are pretty terrible at telling stories. In your first post you said absolutely nothing about your encounters in your GT against any 03 Z06 Vetts (track or street) let alone mention any mods. You only talked about you against a single L99 supposedly full bolt on and didnt explain the scenario at all that would warrant credibility for your wins. Trap has absolutely nothing to do on a street run if the guys doesnt tell you what distance or speeds they started at. How about you get real! Not only is your comparo completely absurd, you are adding false facts by saying both cars are putting down equal hp. A full bolt on L99 puts down more than a stock 03 Z06 (if he was stock like I said before)

Ricer math? How about regular math. Look at your mods, and then realize you're trapping the same as a stock 5.0. You want me to point out that 112 is less than 114 which is less than 117? lol I'll let you get back to your insecurity circle jerk with yourself.

Guys this got out of hand here. Deki chill out we are having a discussion. Yes a 5.0 is quick but that is not what I raced. I am simply stating that I was surprised. I have not gotten my car dyno tuned, simply logged and retuned. Maybe my car is running strong and putting down 390 whp and 400wtq like some 2013 plus models have shown to. Factory freak maybe... I dunno and I dunno if his car was tired or maybe losing compression, I simply beat him fair and square and was surprised. I have also raced my buddy with his 2013 1LE, full bolt ons and he pulls maybe a half car on me on the highway? We are having a rematch this saturday night so we shall see... I started this thread to see if you guys had any such experience?
I am hoping to encounter a stock 2014 mustang 5.0 to see what they are like?
Thank you guys for chiming in.

And again you are off topic and still adding nothing to add or take credit away from the OP story. Go F*&* yourself and troll another forum.
