What is this on the front springs of the ZL1?

What is this? I'm sorry I'm clueless and I searched the forum already.

Supposed to be removed before driving that's for sure!

Those are the transport spring spacers. Used for when loading on to trailers or flatbeds. Raises the front end for better ground clearance. They are to be removed by dealers at PDI and hopefully placed in the trunk (sometimes they get tossed unfortunately) before they drive the car on the road.

What sucks is the prep team that failed. Dealers are a joke.

I can't believe that dealers are still doing this. Don't they do any mandatory training anymore?

That could have damaged your suspension. There is a warning sticker present on the ZL1 that states remove those. WTH No Bueno

I doubt leaving that in there would cause any damage. Your car will sit an inch or so lower up front after removal, and possibly ride a bit better over bumps. I wouldn’t worry about any other consequences......other than the original dealer employee who did the PDI being a complete moron. The PDI calls for removing these and placing them in the trunk.

It would not damage anything but your spine if you leave the spring spacers in the spring. What a total punt by the dealer to deliver with the spacers. Enjoy the ride with the spacers removed!
