Yes, the elbow is a larger diameter than our stock one was. Although it's difficult to see in the pic, our hose at the throttle body actually steps down in size to fit the throttle body. Also, it is shaped to line up with the throttle body in the S/C location. FYI, our new style inlet elbow for N/A cars is now the same diameter as our S/C tube.

I have a CAI with mine ... you simply cut off a little of the intake pipe at the throttle body end and use a 45 degree hose.

Hmm love the look but that's a pretty sharp bend right in front of the throttle body, no bueno.

No it's actually quite a smooth sweeping bend.

That being said, CAI are making a new inlet pipe for SC engines ... so I will swap it out when that becomes available.

Dont' forget to check out the dyno comparison that Ted Jannetty did ... makes the decision a little easier. That's why I went for the CAI with ADM Race Scoop. Was the best combination.

Why do you need to do the IAT relocation? Isn't your Whipple kit the brand new one with it already relocated? Was the plug for it around at the back of the SC?

No, I have one of the first kits. It was not included at the time, although the spot for it was drilled. It's drivers side under the fuel rail. The plug in the back is not for IAT I believe it's the map.

ADM and Whipple work fine together

We have made over 1000 hp through our intake systems....and will be building the most powerful whipple camaro ever , using our intake system!

It works,it fits,it makes the power.

i would go with either CAI or ADM for the whipple, the hood cover touches the s/c so my was removed, ive seen other cars with the wihpple who have the hood cover still in place and its rubbing, thus if you remove hod cover you would need a lid for your cold air intake.
