Problem with Key Fob anyone?

Weird thing happened tonight. My key fob did not want to unlock the car. I pressed lock, unlock, lock, unlock, trunk, and nothing happened as if the battery in the fob was dead. I went and got the 2nd set of key fob, and it worked just fine. Then tried the dead one and it started working just fine again.

So I was thinking maybe I pressed a button on the fob too many times and it needed time to reset It has been raining a lot here lately so I hope this has it just a glitch and not a case of water leak causing elec issue. That would be a nightmare!
Has this happened to anyone?

Forgot to mention, I had the wife's key fob for her Suburban in the same hand when mine for the Camaro didn't work. Could have been interference, I dunno.

I work right next to the guy that knows everything about the key fobs. I'll ask him on Monday to take a look at your complaint. I'm sure that it isn't any great problem, and you may have fixed it already. But, it would be nice to know what caused the issue to go away.

I find with other makes, it doesn't to matter which, the closer to your body that you hold it the worse it seems to function. It is like your body absorbs the signal. Hold the fob at arms length and it works great!

I've had this happen numerous occassions.

One morning, I was leaving for work at 6am, wouldn't work, so instead of trying to get it working again like normal I say screw it and decide I'll try to be quick when the horn goes off. So I unlock, horn goes about 3 times before I can get in and insert the key. As I'm backing out of the driveway, my dad comes running out of the house in his boxers with a bat.

Nice to know my back-up theft system works as well.

I know one FOB will not work if another is in the ignition.

My old man has a pacemaker but as far as I know he doesn't have a POS leaking battery in 'em. LOL
