Interested in the June 2 Mid-Ohio event! Keep me posted! I plan on doing Gingerman this year hopefully as another Camaro5 sponsored event but haven't heard anything about it yet.

I would rather do more days at Mid-Ohio than spend more money someplace else.

Where di you stay? The CGI rate was only $69 where I stayed, I think it was the Holiday Inn.

Yea, Becky and Joe really didn't make that known other than saying the host hotel was Comfort Inn. When I called they said they no longer accepted CGI and referred me to the Holiday Inn and got the cheaper rate. Hopefully it will be the same deal this year and now you'll know! How is Mid-Ohio? I never ran that track. I'll also be doing a 2 day at Watkins Glen this year!

Nice vids! Gotta love when they wave you by. Mid Ohio looks like fun, but on a Monday? Hmm, may have to see if I can swing making the haul out that way and a few days off work.

Mid-Ohio is worth a trip. I went to race school there, and consider it to be the premier handling track reachable in reasonable time from the Northeast. Just my 2¢.
At 50:50 in the following video, you can watch World Challenge stud Johnny O'Connell talk you around the track as he runs his GT car to a 1:26 in traffic: Camaros ran 1-4-7 in the GTS race at Mid-O in 2013 with eventual series champion and Camaro driver Lawrence Aschenbach taking the win in the second race. The second GT/GTS race intro starts at 1:12:00 in that same video; the race itself at 1:19:25. If you're wondering why Volvos(!) start and finish 1-2 in the GT race, 4WD owns this track. Mid O is a track that makes you feel like you are running with the big boys. Love that track and it was the most fun I had tracking ever. However, you have to respect it and not be stupid, very fast track.
You guys have to try Grattan, elevation and cool blind corners.

either of those mid ohio dates would fit into my schedule. ive got atlanta in march, sebring in april, then a big hole to fill til VIR at the end of june. there is another road atlanta i could go to but mid ohio is an awesome track.
ill look at the link im a few. how do they class drivers? if they have three run groups, i would probably be a mid level guy. my wife usually runs one class under me so we get the most track time. TLSTWIN, thanks for the info. |

If you're in the Orlando area check out Exotic Car driving Experience. I drove a Lambo in December and it was a lot of fun.
