Does anyone know what determines the color of the RS or SS badge?

If you have the RS package the SS on the front grill is red. If you don't its white

It would be a non-SS model.

All RS models (even non SS) have the red badge from the factory, I bet that owner changed his with white inserts... I have even seen black or yellow ones, but all come from the factory with red.. the only white badges from the factory are the non-RS, SS models.

thanks guys...
Wasnt sure if the color referred to the 1 or 2 LT package, 1 being White and 2 being Red but looks like the thread is consistent with Red being RS.

LT/LS - no badge
LT with RS - red RS
SS - white SS
SS with RS - red SS

any deviation from this is custom. I have black SS inlays but never put them on. Wife prefers the red so red it is.
