IF (bold/caps/italic'd) the LT1 Gen-5 SBC can make 450+ hp/450+ tq, a launch in a very special "end of the run, start of the run" ZEE could be an interesting finale for Gen-5 Camaro...

That would be my vote lowdown, they gotta keep pumping the sales till the very end of he Gen v run..look at what happened to the mustang when the whole world knew that the next year was getting a refresh and the coyote engine, they just sat on the lots untill Ford basically had to give them away via incentives

Interesting development yesterday about calling the next Chevrolet Nascar a SS. If this is the case, maybe the Camaro SS is replaced with the Camaro Z/28.

Well, soldier, if it's because of deployments in our defence, please accept our appreciation. And we hope your apparently intended supercharger upgrade livens up your SS.

As to our continuing dialogue regarding a non-supercharged canyon-carving Camaro, we seem to have made partial progress...something called 1LE is on the horizon. Sorry you missed the concerted "input" and various polls shared from this Site to seek a proper version of "that" Camaro. We think they listened, though...

However, for the diehards who feel a "proper" ZEE requires something more unique and more substantial for propulsion, without the extra heft of a blower, we await our much-sought-after version.

We're a patient lot, we ZEE-lievers, and we know if we don't persist with our expressed desires and dialogue, not much is likely to happen.

Enjoy your super'd SS...just as we look forward to enjoying our vision/version...

...here here to LOWDOWN and Gramps69Z!!!. By my very nature I am in your camp, although I got a ZL1 the Z-28 is the prize I am truely seeking. I couldn't wait any longer, and am enjoying the heck out of myself right now. But, when the Z-28 returns as I anticipate, if it's what I truely want it to be, then I will be probably one of a few people ever getting a check back from GM on a trade-in. Make no mistake. The ZL1 is the baddest ride I have ever had, in my life, and any amount of toil and money cannot replicate it on another platform and do what it does across so many fronts. But the name Z-28 is dyed in my wool. And I am too still watching, and waiting...

OldScoolCamaro you keeping all four wheels of that new Z car on the road?

I truly believe it's not a matter of if but when we will get our 5th generation Z/28.

...you know it Gramps69Z........phenominal technology and engineering, it stays glued to the road!!! Besides the break in says one shouldn't go over 80 mph or 4,000 rpm for 1,500 miles..... The car just taunts you to do otherwise. I am behaving though....for now... The car has many tricks up it's sleeve that one should slowly get accustomed to. It's been a while for me, but, it's like riding a bike....you never forget how to.

If we really have 3 or 4 model years left like everyone is speculating, what else can they build to kill time? There have been way too many improvements and new models in these 3 model years to say they will do nothing. What better way to complete the lineup than with a Z28? 2013 we are getting a pretty substantial refresh so what else is left? At the very least we should see engine upgrades or changes before the fifth gen is all said and done.

I am envious! I would love to have a worthy vehicle these days to go out and enjoy the twisties, it just isn't the same in my Blazers or van.
