SCT data logging question?

Can you use the SCT data logging to "record" runs and look back at them?
maybe on a graph?

I would be interested in seeing the data from throttle position, torque management,RPM, vehicle speed...these kind of things.
Also what is the sample rate of the data logger?
is it adjustable?

If not, can someone guide me in the right direction.

I have a Gtech Fanatic and it isnt the most accurate device i've used...and wont record mire than 30 seconds.
Thanks.

Yes. You need Live Link software (free on SCT site) and a laptop. You can choose from a long list of items to log to narrow down what you want to see. Instructions, etc. on SCT site.

I had it working fine, Then I upgraded laptops after my old one went out, and cant get it to work on the new one. It connects and I can select what i want logged, then it says cant get info. Old computer was XP, New one is Vista, that maybe the problem.

Doubt it.. I run a windows 8 laptop and haven't had issues.

Be sure to run the newest versions of both the live link Gen 2 software, and the SCT Device updater.

My Windows 7 laptop worked fine with the Live Link II software and SCT X3 tuner.

Do the updates that Scotty suggests and it should work fine. The Live Link software guides you through the process step-by-step.

I logged for a JRE tune and he had me log 12 different things: Accel pedal position; Engine coolant temp; Fuel pressure; Ignition timing advance; Inlet air temp; Inlet manifold absolute pressure; Knock retard; Long term fuel trim bank 1; ditto bank 2; MAF frequency; RPM; and Vehicle speed.

Tried to use it a few weeks back and no updates, Tried it after you posted that and there was an update for it, works now.

My 2010 SS/A6 reports about 190 pids. I dont recall anyway to dump the list of available pids. The earlier post mentioned 12 pids that are the most valuable when logging.
One thing to be aware of is my SCT never reports anything meaningful about fuel pressure pids. So as an alternative, I bought a dashdaq and use it for logging. It's not for the technically challenged nor is it cheap. But it logs fuel pressure. It is also self contained, so no need to keep a laptop connected while tracking the car.

Good enough for me.

I just need to see the things you would most want to see during a high speed run.
Torque/ HP wound be nice to have!
I have the Gtech SS Fanatic, but it lies....Badly!! and only records for 30 seconds....
