I'm fairly certain this will fit a v6 bumper as well but I would get another opinion to be sure

It'll only fit if it's a RS or SS front fascia.

RS bumper is the same as the V6. The V8 fascia is flatter from the front lip. The v6 has a contour to it. They are very different. I installed the SS fascia on my last 5gen car. The grill is also wider on the SS model.

Am interested. I have a couple of questions though, since I am a noob:
1. What is typically the purpose of a splitter? Aerodynamics or styling? 2. What is the material of the splitter? Is it fragile/does it handle small scrapes well? |

its function and style, main purpose is function.
it is a hard plastic, scrapes will show on the bottom and stay out of sight but if you run it into something like a tall curb its gonna hurt it will noticeably damage it
