Mag ride question
I already know I screwed up not getting the NPP exhaust . But I'm not sure what the advantages of the mag ride are or how would I know if I have it or would I even want it.
The stealerships add on my car acted like it had it . How would I know , I did find out they had lied to me about quite a few things . Any links to a description or could someone explain what it's all about ? I won't be on a closed circuit and mostly enjoy the sporting around town . THANKS!

Look for this sticker in the trunk and see if you have RPO code F55. That is by far the easiest way to tell if you have this option.

It's a creature comfort. I made sure all of the cars I looked at had it before talking price, but a lot of people are hard-pressed to tell the difference between the different modes. It's subtle, but you can feel the difference over bumps when you know what to look for. More pronounced is body roll between the three modes, but you're rarely getting that putting around town.

I'd say mag ride makes the car flat, with very few instances or sensation of riding over bumps or body roll when turning fast. You can hear them occasionally, but you don't feel them.

Email socialmedia@gm.com with your VIN number and ask for the build sheet. They'll email you the .PDF
It will tell you everything you have on your car, the RPO codes for them, and the date it rolled off the line. No cost to get this and they usually respond within a day.

The easiest way to see if your car has mag ride is to go into the infotainment system —> under settings —> drive mode and suspensions option should be present. Another way is to find out is to look under the front or rear and you should see the ride height sensor (Red circle in the picture).
Also, here’s a really good article about magnetic ride control from GM Authority. They do a pretty good job explaining everything about MRC! https://gmauthority.com/blog/gm/gene...ol-technology/ |
