My parents made a deal to buy my brother and I whichever car we wanted as long as we kept a 3.8 GPA and got into a 4 year school (at the time he wanted the 350z so he got that one) I waited forever and we were about to buy the ss when we heard of the ZL1. I told them I would wait longer and they said ok. So thats how it happened they paid for the car but I pay for insurance (3/4 of it) and gas. No money for mods though haha

Good for you bro, keep up the good grades so you can get a good job and one day when you're off on your own and married (or living the single life) driving around whatever car you bought with your hard work you will look back and thank your parents for keeping you motivated.

I was the same way when I was in high school I kept a 4.0 GPA so my dad bought me my 1st motorcycle--'02 GSXR-600 and as you can see in my avatar pic, I've been riding sportbikes ever since . After I graduated from USC and started working and making $$ and and bought my own toys--a brand new Ducati 1098 and a Corvette C6 and both were paid off within 3 yrs and now that I'm married with kids & working a good job I look back and thank God I had generous parents to help motivate me while not "spoiling" me in the process.

I'm in the same boat. Nice parents that treat me well. Only I have a 2010 lt I got at 18. Working on an engineering degree and hoping to get a zl1 shortly after I graduate.
