those look great!

Yea, the converter would help a bunch! Low idle stuff was just a clean up...

6L80 with 6L90 torque converter - GPI Rebuild (cont.)

Just wanted to show the area's Ryan updated my tune for the new trans build and what he touched:

Some timing/air flow changes and a 'few' trans/pressure changes!

Front Rear Control Arms Fixed

Today, the control arms finally came in -- I ordered the ones for the Z/28 -- but I'll show you what they are ;o)

Anyway, if you follow this guide, you'll see what you need to do and use:

So, here are the tools I used:

Brass BFH:

21mm tools, 10mm wrench, Torque Wrench/Ratched:

Z/28 arms:

Now, notice the part numbers on the arms:

Yep, #'s on the arms are the same for my '11 2SS and the '14 Z/28 -- go figure

Anyway, here is the progression:

Loosen nut on the joint, and the arm bolt/nut, then wack this area with the BFH:

Now, side by side look and you'll see, she's bent:

Installed and torqued (I did raise the knuckle up so as to simulate load):

Rinse/repeat on the other side (and of course, I had to pound more on that side to get the arm off -- yep figures)...

Not bad and fairly quick job -- nice distraction for now ;o)

On jack stands, limited ‘swing’ space ;o). Brass is less destructive to the knuckle. Glad it’s fixed also...

Always something on this money pit...

Hoping so. Didn't see much of a difference in the bushings though..

Well, defibrillator/pacemaker was install on Thursday so recovering.

If your curious:

Did get to take the car out Wednesday night. Felt solid — still need to tweak the alignment but, holds true and no issues.

Hope to get to drive it next week so I can get the alignment done...

Gonna be a while until I can race again...
