Probably won't do much on the east side, but out this way I wouldn't mind showing up and meeting people.
Hey that's special enough for all of us! Or me at least!

Sounds like you're going the same route as me, stock for a while. Not a bad plan, then you can enjoy your modifications as you go, helps keep things fresh and new.

Most of the stuff we do is North of ATL. I'm far out east of ATL and typically drive anywhere. Drove 4 hours round trip to HPS for their grand opening, sounds like you've been by there with your 4th gen. Great place as I'm sure you know!

Is your silverado your daily driver? Saw that in your pics in your intro thread.

I drove TO HPS's grand opening, but when I got there some dude told me to park with the trucks. I saw a bunch of c5s down by the front of the shop, figured maybe he'd lump all the camaros that show up together, all the stangs, vettes etc.

nope.. park with the pickups.

na.. I went home and did a cam swap instead.

Now chris has that motor and they're rebuilding it.. so my labor was wasted. Still, the experience was invaluable. I bought that motor to learn on, and I've learned a LOT.

for instance.. I learned I have very few tools. I also learned that working on a 4th gen is a HUGE pita! I'm so glad my 5th has some room in the engine bay!

I think I saw you pull up and leave. But no worries now, you've got your 5th gen.

So whats in that 4th gen? LT1 by chance?

I need to learn more about motors. I've torn down a ford 302 and 351w, but I don't know nearly enough yet.

And I found that out too with my restoration of my '68 mustang. There's dozens of specialty tools needed for all parts of the disassembly of the car and motor.

Lemme get out my wallet and see how much I've got.

Haha that's a good deal!

By the way Tim, here's this:

In case you're interested. Rims are regular SS rims but I ordered a few myself anyways.

Might be able to talk HPS into doing something close to that. Also might wanna check out HPS's turbo options. They're looking pretty good from what I can tell.
