They did not offer you a waiver?

When they contacted me about mine they offered me a waiver to decline the recall. In fact there are several threads on the subject.

Haven't been contacted by my dealer yet and if they do they'll have to pry it from my cold dead hands

Dealership lied to you ..I signed a waiver declining the key recall.. It's pretty easy to change back to the original flip key though..

I went to the locksmith today and I now have a 2015 with switchblade keys. (It came with the separate key). Cost less than $45.00. He cut two blades and we knocked the roll pins into the remotes with a punch and hammer. They make some kind of device to press the pins, but he doesn't have one.

You aren't required to sign anything and you can refuse the recall.Mine came from the factory with the new key, on delivery brought my knife, punch and hammer to dealership, changed it over in 10min on the parts counter. The horror look on their faces was worth it! Never try to out smart an old hot rodder.... Now if I could only get OnStar to stop calling the car with their stupid offers...now where is that fuse?

Let's see here. My black 2013 ZL1 convertible with manual trans is one of 303 built. Add to that the fact that I am one of the few people to get the new keys, makes mine Camaro pretty darn rare.

I thought you had your car longer than that . . . or at least longer than me. Cool.

I originally had a 2011 2SS/RS convertible (also black, manual)but I traded that in for a ZL1 convertible two years ago.
