Just bought a 2010 Camaro 2SS/RS with 11K miles!

Hello all,

I'm new to the Chevy world...recent Ford convert because I'm tired of the fix or repair daily. I'm interested to hear your thoughts about the car and good mods for it.

Here's my Mustang that I just sold (still mourning my loss):

Traded in the Mustang with 113K miles on it for $6,225 and bought this 2SS Camaro with 11K miles on it for $27,000. Also picked up a warranty to 80K miles for Like $2,100 or something. I haven't decided whether or not I like this body kit on the car.

The new ride right before I drove it off the lot:

The Camaro is at Hendrick Chevrolet at the moment getting the windows tinted, the rear bumper molding adjusted because it was coming off a little, and its getting their special paint sealant and interior protection. Supposedly, I will never have to clay bar or wax the car again. I'm skeptical, but I'll give it a shot. More pictures/mods to come...

Thanks a lot! I am chomping at the bit to get the car back. I got to drive it for two days and then it was back at the dealer on Monday. Hopefully getting it back tomorrow. I'm driving a Chevy Cruze rental right now.

It definitely has that affect now that I have it back again!

Interesting twist with the car right after purchase:

I had Hendrick Chevy agree to re-stick the rear bumper trim because it had popped off just a little on one side. They ended up having to pull the whole piece off, remove my SLP exhaust tips, and then re-stick the trim. The dealer said that the exhaust tips didn't fit well in the holes and were jammed in. Apparently they vibrated the bumper apart. Now I just have two holes in the back where I should have factory square tips. Not sure how I feel about it, but I'm glad its fixed!

It was about to start downpouring when I left, but I snapped a quick picture of it. It got 40% window tint, and the paint was clay barred, lightly buffed, and sealed with their special never-wash-your-car-again-and-the-paint-still-looks-brand-new-in-30-years sealant. The car looks like it just came off the showroom floor!

Very small update:

I got tired of looking at the holes where I was supposed to have muffler tips, and after doing some forum searching I found these MBRP 3" rectangular muffler tips.

http://www.autoanything.com/exhausts...r-exhaust-tips

This was perfect for my car, since my SLP tips were too big for the holes, and they looked funny being circles inside squares. I took the new tips down to a local muffler shop to have reducers and these tips welded onto my 2.5" pipes. Much better I think!

Holes

No holes!

Mods looming in the near future I hope:

- Hurst shifter
- Springs, maybe shocks and struts. Open to suggestions on what combo works well.

Thank you very much! I have thoroughly enjoyed driving her. I'm looking forward to a pay raise so I can start buying more go-fast parts.
