Your right Speed. I keep hearing about how good the NT05's are compared to the 555R's. I already have the 555R's on the stock rears. I havent had a chance to see either one in action yet. Im hoping the NT05's stick like glue on the street and the 555's on the track.

thanks Speed!

NP - That's the same combo that I have. I have been so busy at the road track with the NT05's that I haven't used the 555's at the drag strip yet

So far everything has been going well until i called discount tires direct to purchase the tires and have them on standby. First off i sent an email to find out when my wheels will be ready. I was told within the week .... thats perfect i thought to myself because the maro needs to be picked up by liggy on or around the 15-20th in order to be done in time for my homecoming.
So back to discount tires: they said there is a nation wide back order on NT05's in both 315 and 275 and to call back around the 12th of July :(

By the time i get the tires and have them put on i'll be cutting it close. This really isnt that big of deal, but im just thinking that if its already starting out with delay's, how many more are gonna come.
Yesterday my gear install was delayed also and to top it off im kicking myself in the ass for not listening to 570 three months ago and contact Pete about a full Pedders package. The reason i mention this is because the more research i do the dumber i feel for purchases braces and things that i dont need if i would have bought a Pedders package in the first place. I did buy the Coilovers so go easy on me guys

Needed to vent a bit guys
This Camaro has been one hell of a learning experience that's for sure! I just wanna kick back and finally enjoy it, to say the least!!
eBay solves some problems...

Well - My axles are fine and I just need a new boot on the passenger side by the diff.

However....... my rear end is fragged!! The dealership has a new one coming in for it next Wednesday. I will be looking at upgrading this or at least getting the parts over the winter, so when this happens again I am prepared. Do you think I would be fine with just new gears like the 3.73's or do you have to replace the whole center section??

Glad to hear about the Axles are fine, but sorry to hear about the rear-end. :(

I wish i had some better advise for ya, but if it was me i would get the new rear-end from the dealership and talk to vendors about upgrading and maybe trading in new one as a discount/core of some sort.
IMO if it broke once and your planning on modding some more, then it will break again. The question is when and how far away will you be for the tow bill.

Has anyone used Toyo Proxies T1R's before? Im wondering if these will compare to the NT05's or hopefully be better. Im waiting on a quote now, but its from a local vendor near home. I'll probably save more with a national vendor

Some of the racers I know have had good success on them in lighter cars. Those in heavier cars have different things to say. The NT05 is very good. My preference is the Bridgestone RE-11. It is one reason I run RE-11 305/30/19s on my Camaro. I felt it was such a good tire we built the rest of the car around it.

I am planning on having the new rear end put in and hopefully making it through the summer. I hate to have too much downtime. I may order some 3.73's in the meantime and have them installed when they come in.

EDIT: I talked to Ryan and he said they could do the 3.70 gears and have them micro-polished down at RPM and then do a core exchange. I am checking on this right now.

Does anyone know of any LPE Camaro's with nitrous?

Im thinking forged internals+professionally install/tuned nitrous will get some nice ET's? Whatcha think?

There's no doubt that im gonna have to find some smaller wheels and tire's if i wanna get the times im looking for?

Until I convince Bridgestone to make the RE-11 in larger sizes, the NT05 is the best choice.

Yup... Bridgestone don't make a 20 inch tire for the RE-11's.

I am with Pete... the bridgestone's are an awesome tire for the street and don't cost too much ($250.00 a tire for my 285/35/19).

For 20's I would keep hunting for the Nitto Nt05's. I saw a car running with them at the Autocross late may.. they handled well and looked pretty sticky. I would be using the NT05's if it were me on a 20. I think Paul and RS have them if I'm not mistaken.

I wouldn't let this hold me back though... you still have wheels on the car. I have 3 sets of tires/wheels mounted up for my car.
The stockers, the street set, and the track set.

BWS, for the hotchkis brace, you could sell it pretty easy on this forum. I have sold some stuff that didn't make it onto my car. Most parts will sell quickly.. there is a good demand for 2010 Camaro aftermarket parts.
