No but the only way you could order the 1Le package was if you also ordered the WS6 on firebirds.

Its all about love with the 1LEs and driving them . The LS7 may be the thing that kills the Gen5 Z28 also.

SS was equivalent to WS6

The 1LE on Camaro was the same 1LE package on Firebird during the 3rd/4th Gen

Interesting, I always thought SS & Trans Am were equivalent.

Were IROC-Z & Trans Am equivalent?

WU8 (i.e. SS) and WS6 were the same.

The SS/WS6 conversions were done by different companies though. Camaro went to SLP and Firebird to ASC (although 96/97 went to SLP)

Firebird had two V8 models between Formula and Trans Am, where Camaro only had Z28. T/A was just an appearance package (raised wing on the hatch, ground effects, front clip, standard leather)

WS6 was optional on either trim level (Formula WS6's are rarer than Trans Am WS6).

Chevy actually marketed 1996-97 as "Z28 SS" then in '98 they dropped the Z28 portion and it became just SS (although the Z28 RPO still appears)

Yes, They did some goofy things on the 3rd Gen where WS6 was actually standard on Formula, but optional on Trans Am.

Where i get lost is with the Trans Am GTA because it had parts from the 1LE standard but not sure if they were available with the 1LE .

Yea, I think GTA had the 1LE front end, but not the driveshaft & gas tank. The 1LE package itself wasn't offered on GTA

IMHO, 2010 is the best looking, but I am partial to that year.
