Sounds about right. 8 Quarts of Mobil 1 don't come free.

I am happy to hear that they didn't screw me on that. I like the dealer a lot so that would have been very disappointing.

The oil at wal-mart runs anywhere from $55-60. If your dealer's charging $70-80 for the change just have them do it. You screwing up your car or loss of waranty by not maintaining records is not worth the $10-15 dollars you'd save doing it yourself. For me on the other hand, dealers here want about $110-140 to change oil. So I do it myself.

Mobil1 by the quart at Autozone is $8.19 here. The dealer sure isn't going to charge less than that. V8s use 8 qts. It's all math from there.
I buy my oil at wallyworld for around $50 and the dealer changes it and does a chassis lube for $20

Most of the dealers in my area include a tire rotation for that price. $60 for just an oil change.
