EPCO Shift Knob

I have been looking for a shift knob that will work and this came in today. It took me all of 5 minutes to install and they did a great job engineering the sleeve, looks good too.

Engine Oil Evaluation

I broke 7500 miles today, 6000 on the TT kit and not much to report. Just a few small things for now and an oil change, catch can and filter clean. The filters were very easy to remove and used the K&N kit to clean and oil, they were dirty after 6000 miles so will have to re-evaluate cleaning cycle for filters, the catch can had 1.5 ounces in the can, $ well spent. I went 3000 miles on this oil change and took a sample that I am sending Mon for testing to Blackstone Labs. I am using Mobil 1 15W-50 and the last 2 changes the oil is very black and smells burnt, no fuel odor, I have come questions in my mind so sending off sample for evaluation. There was quite a bit of "fuzz" on the magnetic oil plug but no large chunks which is a good thing. After evaluation of oil on last change and using Fram changed to OEM oil filter. The Fram had very tight filter and did not look good for flow, the AC is not as tight. There is not any change in the characteristics of the oil so trying a Bosch filter for this run. I had some track time and drag runs on the last change and nothing but spirited driving on this one and no change in oil characteristics. Once I get the results back from Blackstone I will post results.

7500 Mile Engine Oil Analysis

I received the engine oil analysis from Blackstone today, good data and interesting comments. I will conduct a flush as recommended and do another 3000 mile test, may be an issue with bearings.

Looks great! Big fan of black. Now I want the CF hood wrap too besides the twins. I used to be happy with the flat hood. Are we ever finished with these cars?

Thanks Fraxum, the CF hood does look good and easy to take care of, no finger prints! No, I don't think there is an end.
