You have been mislead to believe that every car will pick up 1-1.5 psi boost by adjusting the bypass, that is simply not the case.

Stock pulleys make 8 psi boost at sea level.

If your bypass is out of adjustment you might only have 6.5 psi boost then you can get back to 8 psi boost by adjustment.

The 5% pulley make 1.5 psi over stock pulley or total of 9.5 psi.

No tuning is required if this is the only mod on 93 octane fuel.

You can refer to this thread for more detail. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...=JRE+RWHP+TUNE

Not sure what procedure your trying but is it pretty simple, the tool set on the balancer with the belt on top of it and you rotate the engine to walk the belt on.

Do you still have the original balancer you may want to sell?

So with with no tune, what's a better package.

5% + CAI or 10% with stock airbox?

I've read some grounding issue with EPS and the CAI which has me leaning 10% only... other opinions?

I would like to say thank you for this great thread ahead of time!

Is grade B7 strong enough threaded rod for the install tool? The class 10.9 is only available in longer lengths then what is needed. It seems to me B7 is stronger the class 8.8 is that correct?

You are very welcome

I would not recommend you use any threaded rod.

We carry proper balancer installation tools at a very reasonable price and have them in stock.

I know considering what I just payed for the upgrade parts $100 is not a lot of money but if I can spend less then half of that on something that plenty of people have been able to do the job with and that I will probably never use again I think I will go that route thanks.

I have also seen people destroy the crankshaft not using the correct tool.

The tool is cheap in the grand scheme of things and you will have it for your next upgrade when needed.

If it were me, I would buy it for $100 to do the job right, then sell it to someone on the forum for their install to recoup some cost.
