This was last minute change in plans; Charles went on street tires and no HPT cable. I think that is a capture from phone as he slowed down. He probably had other things to do @ 145mph than fool with phone. Obviously I wanted HPT log like the ones from 1/4mile testing.

Standing ½ mile IAT at launch 59deg, 145mph at the end of the 1/2 mile IAT was 90deg, back to 59deg at staging line!

No Heat Exchanger, Thermal Insulators or CAI so under hood intake. 4.5GPM pump, street tires.
Charles
Ran the 1/2 mile today with the Active Interchiller installed on my LSA SS today. IAT at launch was 59 (ambient was 84), at the end of the 1/2 mile (145mph), my IAT was only 90 degrees! And it was back to 59 by the time I got back to the staging lanes. I was able to do (4) 1/2 mile runs in just over an hour, never stopping. Car ran awesome!

Notice time stamps above that’s 9 min from the time Charles lifted and captured pics 90deg high back to 59deg. 59deg may not sound impressive but remember this is the same car with crazy hot under hood temps and intake is under hood.

Sensor in air filter and in line on intercooler, this is just waiting in line at a drive through. Only our original design Interchiller systems make this possible.

SS did 11.0 at Bradenton this is with no reservoir or H/E at all just the LSA hoses, Xtreme Chiller and 4.3gal flow. Staged at 55# and toped the ¼ at 112# then right back to 55#, HPT log available for download. Car now has 2.3gl reservoir to get ready for half mile, still no CAI.

That’s a typo the run was 128.4

Thank You, I did not know that, my ZL1 is Stock at the moment, I'm assuming I would not need a tune (Although I do Eventually intend to tune it)?? Even on a Bone stock car I would think gains would be still be big in the Hot weather??

That is best time to add a Chiller before you buy big H/E or ice tank etc… No tune required but tuners love them to reduce time spent waiting for car to cool down. Email me for more info.
Thanks Dave

18lb ZL1 with full cooling mods and Xtreme Chiller fitted.
2013 ZL1 #7860
Before the first run after 5 minutes of idling in the pits coolant was 23deg IAT 1 was 115 with the hood down and IAT 2 was 34 degrees.

3-4 minutes after the 1/4 mile driving back.

Edgard Niebles and I met Rick Crawford and I have to say he is very nice guy, he took time out to talk to us and answer a lot of questions on a very busy track day. Rick definitely has the combination, very low 9s with stock bottom end! No Spray ever!

It was a great track day, I never expected to see so many Vs wheels up. There was quite a few ZL1 running. We went to Longhorns on the way home for an Awesome Steak and drinks on the way home.

My results using the AI on my CTSV. Im happy with it, and I wish I would have done it from the beginning.

Getting the cold instantly after charging the Freon.

Cabin temps, outside temps were low 70s

Best IAT to date, and it actually got a little colder than this. Outside temps were in the high 60s.
