Cam shaft kit Stage 1 LST 231/244 for L99. Ideas?

Have someone tried this cam shaft kit? https://www.compcams.com/id-spring-l...html#tab2.tab2

Does it work on a Camaro 2012 mostly used for daily drive. I don't want too ruff idling. I will remove AFM but keep VVT.

I would call on of the LS specialists that do VVT cams. That one sounds like it is more - strong performance vs daily driver.

Give GPI a call, or Texas Speed, JRE, Cam Motion, Brian Tooley.... Probably a few more. Tell them exactly what you want. I would trust any of them to put together the right package for you. Versus going with an off the shelf package. Personal service from an expert is valuable.

Consider some head work too while they are off. Maybe lighter LS3 intake valves... there is a good reason LS3's have lighter valves. You don't want to spin heavy intake valves 7000 rpm. There is power in a multi-angle valve job. And deck them for flatness and the compression you want. If you are always running 93, there is power in bumping the compression a half a point or so. Just be sure you can measure PR length correctly and check rocker geometry. Don't just put all the kit parts on if head work has been done. Once heads are touched, valve work, or cam base circle changed - PR length, rocker arm geometry needs to be checked. If using - stock base circle cam, stock untouched heads... the whole kit should be designed for that.

That'd be the best direction I'd go - start calling a few - GPI, Texas Speed...
