Spraying 100% meth and damaging coating on Maggie?
So I have a 2010 Camaro SS with 50,000 miles. And have been spraying 100% meth right before the TB since about 10k miles. Does 100% meth damage the coating on the rotars? I was speaking to a lady at the Maggie booth at a car show and she said yes. Has anyone had this issue and what happens with no coating boost drop? Thanks

Why would you need a boost gauge to look at the rotors to see if the coating is coming off ?

I would recommend calling tech support with maggie just to confirm or call some of the performance shops such as Hutter performance, Livernois, RPM, etc and see if any of them have seen this occurring, if you do not want to go through removing your lid.

Used a borescope to get pics inside Maggie
What seemed most alarming is the scorn to the inside of the blower or is this normal? The coating seems to be fine tell me your opinion

Just an update I sent the pics to Magnuson and they replied saying the coating is still there but he suggested stopping spraying before the intake. I have read that the meth is completely vaporized before it hits the rotors so I guess that is true. I replied to Magnuson asking about the scratches still waiting on a reply on that. So a 10$ borescope from Amazon saved me from removing the lid. Work smarter not harder.......

I can see no reason that spraying before the rotors, would see any liquid "vaporised" simply because there isn't any real heat for it to do so.
it might happen when it hits hot rotors, it might happen after the rotors, but not before. |
