I paid 65 for Sunday and 50 for infield parking . Pretty much park anywhere in the infield accept for the Conti Corral I guess. I ordered them from the Watkins glen International website . It wasn't offered when I was getting my tickets. I picked up a pass for the Indy weekend also. I'm getting the impression you have a different source .

We have a 9500ix and a Max2. If your paitient, Escort.com has sales, sign up for their newsletter. I saved $250 on the Max2 in a blow-out sale, but those are few and far between.
The Max2 was going off most of the drive from exit 42, to WG. I am assuming it was coming from someone with an active setup, behind me.
I was hit with laser on the way home. Police car was sitting just past a rise, in front of an exit overpass. I hit the brakes reflexively, but I wasn't going much faster than anyone else does in the left lane. I didn't see anyone in the car, and nobody came after me.

Continental Corral deal is on their website but was probably put up after you bought yours. It's a moot point because it's apparently sold out. Pretty much makes my decision for me. I got 2 free tickets and parking the last 3 years but my guy at Imsa left.

It is a haul, but it beats a usual Sunday at ESTA - which is right in near you. ESTA runs a full race program, so you're lucky to get 2-3 passes in the morning, and then once racing starts you're bracket racing single elimination, more often than not you're going out first round. Also, every time I've been to ESTA the prep has been garbage. Last time was many years ago and I hear it's a lot better now...

Empire Dragway is a test and tune on Friday nights - I've been there and been able to make 8 passes from 6pm to 10pm, basically hot lapping the whole night. It's predominately street cars, which are fun to watch run, and even more fun to race against.

Hey all - definitely a good trip down to Empire Friday night. Rob and I were both able to knock down new personal bests - side by side! Got to make 5 passes, car was a pretty consistent 12.7x @ 113mph, with a best being 12.74.

Until I get serious about a set of drag radials, rear subframe solid mounts, and diff bushings, that's probably about all she's gonna give me. 60' times are hovering right around 2.1 - street tires at 25psi just don't wanna give much more. I did pull a nice 2.03 on my last pass - and then blew the 1-2 shift. Probably wouldn't have went sub 12.60. Something to shoot for next time I guess.

Anyways - what trip to the track wouldn't be complete without some video. Enjoy!

What a spectacularly beautiful day at the Mexico car show yesterday. Made all the more special by Spike and I both winning first place in our classes. Also nice to be able to spend a little time shooting the breeze with Will.
