Hey all, I'm new here and wanted to pose a quick question to you guys. I'm in the market for a 14 or 15 v6. I have options on either side but I was trying to find out if there were any major differences between them. My google-fu turned up that the only major difference was the inclusion of the Z28 trim level to the lineup for 2015. Is that it or are there other things that I should note? TY in advance!

I don't think there were a lot changes between the 2 year. 14 brought on new body changes that 15 keep... but as for a V6, there are trim levels which probably make up the differences but between the same trim level year-to-year, minor if any.

But I'm still learning so I might not be 100% accurate.

Same LFX V6 motor 12-15, same infotainment 13-15. 14 got the mid-cycle refresh and the V6 had the base LS, LT and the RS trim packages.

14 offered a spring edition, 15 offered a Commemorative edition. Both I believe just appearance goodies.

So they are pretty much clones of each other. Nothing differing between them unless comparing different trim levels. That's what I thought from the research I did but I just wanted to be sure. Thanks guys!

Granted, my options preferences and reasons for buying might be different than yours, but I was looking for an 8-months out of the yr DD. My Z06 is for sunny weekends and late night trips to "Mexico", but I wanted to buy another 5th gen to enjoy my daily commute (the 3rd 5th gen I've owned since 2012, guess you can say I love them because every time I sell one, I end up buying another).

Prices have come down a lot on these things in the last couple years. Last Saturday, I picked up a very well maintained (with records) 2010 V6, fully optioned except for sunroof RS M6, 44,030 miles for $8,800. I beat him down on price a bit because I will need to buy tires (brakes are original too, but all 4 corners still have plenty of pad, I checked today), but for $8,800, it's a whole lot of car.

Now, it's unlikely you'll find a loaded 15 for 9k, but don't settle for high miles or stripped of options cars. I'd been looking for a few weeks and did come across several very clean, well optioned 14/15 V6s in the 13-14k range. Not sure what your price range is, but a well optioned car is both, more pleasant to live with and also has better resale value when you're ready to move on. Z/28 came out in 2014 with only 515 made.

I know this is super minor but the backup camera on the 2015 has the guide lines. The 2014 does not.
