Go look up reliability ratings.

Ford is above the Industry average. Chevy is below.

I live northeast of Dallas, and I see quite a few 2010 Mustangs, only one 2011 so far. I've also got a few (3 or so) Challengers in the area, 1 at my work (V6, but a female driver, so it still rocks) and maybe 3 Camaro's besides my own.

Yes, it really matters. Evan Smith is a professional driver, I have a hard time imagining that anyone here has more drag strip experience than him (it's possible, but I imagine it's unlikely).

As well, you're comparing a magazine time, which I assume is done at a private track, with unlimited time and runs, unlike a regular person heading to the track. I am not saying they don't count, but to compare them to a private owner is a bit unfair.

Because the second I see a '10 GT I check for the 5.0 badge. Nada so far.

Obviously the top of the camaro fast list can drive. I have never seen another 12.6 from a camaro besides that list, so they are not your every day driver are they? are you saying the top of the camaro fast list drivers are "just regular people heading to the track" facts say otherwise.

the mustang ran 12.7 in the hands of "regular people heading to the track" as well. obviously they can drive I don't think you should even be in these type of cars if you can't.

I never said the guy can't drive. I said that he is a private owner who heads to the track, like everyone else, while Evan Smith is (likely) on a private track with as much time and runs as he needs.

I am in no way saying that the new Mustang isn't awesome, it is and I am in the process of ordering one hopefully.

I also don't really understand why you're here. You obviously do not like the Camaro and only praise the Mustang. It's funny, I think. Sax1031 prefers the Mustang but his posts do not come off as fanboyish or rude, so I wonder why your posts are almost always so grating?

EDIT: Want to point out I have not seen the article, so the information I am going off of is what I've gleened from Mustang threads.

That's your opinion and you are entitled to it.

Oh, ok. I didn't realize you were only talking about the GT models. I was referencing both base and GT trims.

I don't know about the V6's, though I doubt that I've seen any 11's thus far. However it's possible.

Road and Track posted a YouTube video comparing the 2010 Camaro and 2011 Mustang and the Camaro won with a 13.00 to the Mustang's 13.2. I traded my 2008 Mustang Bullitt for my 2010 1SS RS and my Camaro just eats that Mustang alive in build quality and speed. The 2010 Mustang comes with 3:73 gears, tubular headers and at least 200 to 300 lb weight advantage...the race shouldn't even be close. The Motor Trend test car stickered over $40,000. Oh and, by the way, Motor Trend dynoed the Mustang and found 435 HP lurking beneath the hood!

We understand you like the car. Is there some reason we have to do this dance on our Camaro fansite? Isn't there a Mustang fansite you can visit to discuss this stuff with people who will also drool over the new Mustang with you? Why do we have to "give some credit" on anything?

+1
