It is a drivers race between the SS vs GT.

Agree on the Drivers race in the 1/4 mile, especially since a partial slip of a single tire can result in .2 to .4 second difference. The road course is where the battle will be won or lost, vs. splitting hairs in the 1/4 mile.......

I wont lie i am a huge mustang fan and a hate chevy but i give respect were due and the 2010 camaro took us by suprise it was a good car and always will be. I own a shelby gt500 cause i didnt want to wait for a 2011 gt and the gt took a shit on the camaro but mark my words as a ford fan the camaro is just waiting for the right time to strike

Every car make/model has their issues and none are immune to "taking a crap" on you. For every story you share of a Ford having reliablity issues, I can show you a GM, Chrysler, BMW, etc. owner with a similar experience.

I just don't understand why people haven't tested the Camaro like this. I have never heard what a stock LS3 ran with just a tire. It seems everyone did a baseline then immediately started modding.

You have never seen a stock mustang pull a sub 1.6 60' period. End of story, goodbye. The fastest a '11 GT will EVER see on stock tires is MAYBE a high 1.7 60', but even that's unlikely. A 1.8X is a very good 60' completely stock. There's some major stupidity on both sides here. These cars aren't ringers, obviously considering they are production cars and no stock gt is ever, ever EVER going to cut a 1.4 60'. You ever seen a stock gt lift the tires a foot off the ground? lol! Like said before, the cars are very, very well matched. I think this thread should be closed, but maybe that's just me...
