Well, why not do a quick upgrade two days before we leave for the LSx shootout
Frank has been a major help in our project car going deep into the 10's (And soon 9's) on a stock bottom end !! He has worked night and day on another project for us also for the shootout, we cannot have done all this without Frank & the rest of his crew's support! I will keep pictures coming in this thread as we work into the night! Well those sure do look good under there! Looks like you're getting close to tearing up the drag strip!

Gotta love last minute builds, i have high hopes for this one. if you guys are going to the fest stop by and see East Coasts Vette with a Powerglide and our 9" (Bob Kasper modified) it should be quite a bit of fun.

The amount of engineering and development that Bob & Frank did together is amazing. I would say it's worth a peek. When not racing it will be in our booth in the midway along with my SS. |

Couple of more... Had to tidy up some other aspects of the build, and Shawn wanted to throw in a 3.45 camaro rear into his G8. Hey, why not!

Matt, please let me know after this weekend what you think of the suspension parts. How much it helped and what areas you made gains in. This is the next move for me but I have zero experience in this stuff and have been getting by with all the stock components. Your set-up looks wayyyyy better.
Thanks! |

Pfadt arm package Pfadt bushings Pfadt coilovers Done. I'd be willing to bet worth a tenth or two being able to adjust the coilovers and get the drag bar to plant both tires hard. |

Supercharged: I just had coilovers last time when we ran the 10.12 on the 18" Mickeys... My budget stopped before the drag pack rims/tires that you have, now so we're running on the stock 20" fronts & the 18" C6Z rims on the rear.
Trying to put any power to the ground especially off the brake, or even launching off the footbrake there was so much negative camber that it was blowing the tires loose 10' out of the hole. We had to walk it out and modulate the throttle (Still spun, but not as bad) when we ran last time. I am hoping with the addition of Frank's 9" & all the Pfadt compliments that we can put down a 60' even on the 18" Mickeys.. We cut a 1.50 light with the stock suspension when the rear gave out on the 1-2, so I know the tire is there.. Would it be better with the drag pack? Sure would, but this is a total street combination here. |
