Need help with Solo

I've got the Solo w/ J pipe setup and have 2 issues.

Question 1 -- I've got some decent drone at around 2500-2700 RPM. The engine will sit right around that range when climbing hills @ around 40 MPH or so, and it also goes through that range during any mild acceleration. How would I go about adusting it out? Do I slide the whole j-pipe, or just the caps at the ends? In or out?

Question 2 -- I've adjusted the exhaust twice now to try and get the tips centered in the openings, but they won't stay there. I've loosened the front and middle clamps, gotten things adjusted, but they go back over time. It seems like the hangers aren't bent right or something, because I have to really twist and push to get it in the right position, and then tighten it down. Now the driver side tip is vibrating against the valance. Suggestions?

The exhaust has broken in now and it sounds pretty sweet. If I could resolve these 2 issues I'd be very happy.

At the end of the first post their is a table that tells you what J-pipe lengths cancel out drone at certain RPMs

I also have a alingment problem with the driver side and it's almost impossible to ajust without taking the diffuser off.

So instead of trying to bend the pipe I bought an SS diffuser that I will install soon. The pipes holes are much bigger and there will be plenty room left.

As for the drone I don't have that issue on mine, maybe contact Solo Performance.

I had the same problem, but I just took a tire iron and wedged it between the pipe and the hanger and was able to bend the hanger just enough so it sat centered in the valance.

Solo installed mine, and I watched them do the adjustment to center the tips. What they did was this:

They put a long bar into the tip, heated the hanger with a torch until it was red, the bent the tip. When they had it where it needed to be, they sprayed water on the tip to cool it.
Yes, they had it red hot while the hanger was in the rubber.

That's exactly what I was planning on doing!

Good to know that even the pros have to brute-force it a bit.

For my vert I had Solo Performance/Muffler Man shop in Buffalo do the install since there was some issues with the cross bracing. They ended up heating and bending the hangers and everything was great. On my Coupe I did the install and I also bent the hanger slightly to get the tips centered.
Depending on the V6 it seems the j-pipe adjustment is slightly different. But after a few moves of the caps there is absolutely no drone on my coupe. On the vert they set it up correctly right out of the shop.

Here's a pic, not very clear just took it. But I can say that the SS diffuser did the job. No friction and noise anymore and the Solo's just look better.
