Had this on my 2012 2LS. Car would shut off like clockwork when leaving the gravel lot of my workplace. Took it in May of 2012 to a Chevy dealer where I got the car. Was told to take off my keys, all of them. I had like 7-8 keys on there, house and work stuff. I had same set of keys on two of my Lancers (latest gen) never a problem. Kill yourself GM. Kill yourself.

I was supposed to get my new ZL1 tomorrow. Now there's no telling!

Well I'm going to change mine out only because my 2 fobs I have are just about useless. The first one all the pushbuttons are gone except the alarm system and the second fob the trunk and auto start are gone. And don't go saying go buy a new ones because I think the stupid fob shouldn't be in the state they are now.

In my normal driving position, my leg will hit the wheel before my knee can get to the key. I *can* hit the key-but not with any force because the pain in my thigh from smacking the wheel stops me short.

It's a non-issue.

I heard if you don't bring your car in, all your radio picks up is mariachi bands but I dunno how that's a safety issue, some people like that stuff

this sounds like the dumbest recall since the tsb thing for the the visor stickers, worthless issue IMO. if I was 4-8 and drove with my knees right up against the steering wheel column I might give a crap, but I usually drive with the seat back a ways so knees never get close enough to matter.

This sort of makes me think GM is over reacting, trying to make themselves seem proactive, trying to make themselves look better. just a guess
