Power steering resivor over filling wit low fluid???
Hello noticed a wine while turning and checked to see power steering resivor , marked a lil low but not empty filled up to the middle between min and max , turn the a couple dozen times to take air out of system . Still whining like crazy , went for a spin around the block came back and now it's foaming out the top, I didt over fill system at all so what's the problem is it my ps pump? This happen to any body ? Any help appreciated thanks

There's still air trapped in the system. Did you do the couple dozen turns with the cap off? That's the way to do it.

Yes cap was off when parked doing the turns . I put cap on and drove it a block when it started over filling

I've swapped hoses before and took the air out of the system before but have never had such a issue . That's why I started to think it was the PS pump . Has any body ever used this http://m.oreillyauto.com/mt/www.orei...0678&ppt=C0067

It would be very unusual for your PS to have that much air from being slightly low. There was a TSB for PS whine some time ago. The fix was to replace the PS fluid with the new Dexos transmission fluid. I suggest you swap the fluid to cure the whine.

Didt know you could put transmission oil in the power steering pump . What does TSB stand for ?

Thanks Pete I'll look for that . Since it's not a recall I'm guessing if I would take it in I would Get charged huh

They do have a good vacuum system to change the fluid and purge any air. Be sure you specify you want synthetic per the TSB.
