What "squeaking" are you experiencing?? Mine squeak when I first start up the car. But after a few stops, there is no more noise. I have complained about this to the dealer, but im told that its normal, and its "just the brakes warming up." Sounds like BS to me, but thats what i've been told.

Mine squeek at start up too and after the first few stops it goes away. It does say in the manual this is normal so im assuming it is. But squeeking all the time while braking would def not be normal.

I had the same problem. File a complaint with the BBB regarding lemon law for your state. Not going to say it'll fix the problem, but I'm returning my 2010 SS tomorrow to pick up my 2011 SS. For free.

Read my posts in this thread. By no means should it be "normal" as many dealers are claiming.....

My 2011 with 1700 miles on it started to sqeak the other day. Those of us old enough to remember think back to the IROC days the noise they put out could break glass.

Take it out on the highway and make several hard stops. I mean really hard, (be safe). The shoes start to get glazed and you need to burn that off. Mine start to squeal, then I make a few hard stops and they are quiet again for a few weeks. These are performance brakes. It seems when they are used lightly under daily driving conditions for a while they start to squeal.

You have brembo brakes though, does that still apply to us?

Mine are driving me crazy! It's weird, it's not consistent. It seems if I haven't used the brakes for a minute, they will squeal, but if I brake consecutively, they often don't squeal.

And I have an annoying constant squeak while driving, even when not using he brakes.

Why spend money on brake pads when the dealer should be fixing it for free?

They fixed mine at no charge with no argument.
