there is auto cross at this event anyone else going i have it marked

I plan to go but I am so confused. I guess I won't be doing autocross as I do not plan to get a fire extinguisher mounted in my car just to do that. As for drag racing, I cannot find any place with clearly defined rules for that short of reading & understanding the entire huge NHRA rule book. I may change my mind altogether. I don't mind wearing my new morotcycle helmet but if I have to buy a new helmet then, well, never mind. I'll just wait for our fall Music City Camarofest to do my drag racing. Can anyone here answer questions in simple terms on what would be needed to run these events??????????????

Ruby - This really depends on how fast your car runs. If you give us an ET range, we can help decipher some of the rules for you.

Basics are helmet and long pants. Most M and SA rated helments made after 2010 will usually meet the rule requirements Some tracks do check for driveshaft safety loop and some do not.

If you run quicker than 11.5, you will need a roll bar and potential other safety gear.

Ruby is just a V6 but a pretty good running one. My best time was on the Bowling Green strip at 14.4 and I did not have to have a helmet or any special equiptment to run her that day.

So who all is going? Ruby will be there with bells on! Unfortunately not with my new mods on yet, at least probably not. One item is on back order delaying shipment. :( But that is okay, the permagrin is going to be PAINFUL! Hope to see you there!
