I had never had a set of wheels powder coated so I was not schooled on prices or procedure. Talking with a few of you on the Forum I got a free educations on price as well as procedure and care.

I found a Marine Corps Staff Sergeant who has a business on the side doing powder coating. He has been doing it for 11 years. I visited with him yesterday and he took me around his shop showing me where he does all his prep work and his ovens. I was impressed with the quality of his work. He had just finished a set of wheels and valve covers of some sort of import, they were beautiful.

Bottom line, he is backed up about 2 weeks but he now has my wheels and will powder coat them gloss black, cost will be $400.00 out the door.

Thanks to everyone who contacted me, I appreciate the education, of course at my age I might forget it tomorrow but I know you have my back.

Larry
