5th gen vs 6th gen
Driving casually, I see a 6th gen barreling down behind me. Did a little flyby with deceleration. Invitation accepted. Lined up, dropped down to 2nd gear. Was going around 50/55mph. 3 honks and away my car goes. Idk what his mods were, maybe a catback. Once I went past a bus length or 2, I shut down.

6th gens are fast. Especially if autos stock but I haven't lost to a stick 6th gen ss yet even though I know some are much faster. Once they do full bolt ons and e85 tune it is a game changer. They are getting in the low 11s last time I went to track with no internal motor mods. Same with 5.0. If they are the new 10 speed Once they do full bolt ons they are unbelievable fast.
In my experience cam ,heads, gears etc, basically everything you can do without power adder is about equal to a full bolt on 6th gen auto if not a little slower. When I had all my work done at gpi they Said to really be competitive with the 6th gen power adder was needed. I believe it. |

My neighbor down the street has a new 10 speed 5.0 2024 and he can't believe I walk away from him. Little does he know he is just a few mods away from pulling away from me and I am running mid 11s now.lol

The 6th gen A10s are pretty quick. My wife has a 22 1SS 1LE A10. My 5th gen FBO ran door to door with her car bone stock. My car heads/cam ran with a gutted FBO 6th gen on E85. They respond very well to mods.
