Hello fellow Camaro owners and enthusiasts,

I’m late to the 5th/6th gen Camaro party, but thought I would introduce myself anyway. As you might be able to guess from my forum name and the color of my Camaro, I’m a “Transformers convert,” but I do have a little bit more of a history with GM cars.

My first car (way back in 1996) was a Pontiac 6000 STE, and I’ve loved Pontiacs in general (and Firebirds in particular) ever since. Among my previous cars are a 1998 Grand Prix GT and a 1999 Firebird (V6). My dream car is a 69 GTO, and October 31st, 2010 is a date that will live in infamy as far as I’m concerned. With no new Firebirds or G8s to look forward to, I was intrigued when I heard about the 5th gen Camaros, and as a lifelong Transformers fan, I was immediately obsessed when I saw the Camaro concept in the 2007 film. At that moment I knew that one day I had to have a yellow 5th gen.

Of course, finances (and the need for a vehicle with functional back seats for hauling kids around) caused that dream to be put off until this year, when I found a 2014 2LT RS with only 34,000 miles. No, it’s not a V8, but it’s a Camaro, it looks the part, and I don’t have to pay for premium gas. Not many mods are planned, as it’s going to be a daily driver now more or less, but I’ll probably spring for a PedalMax at some point and otherwise focus on trying to keep it looking good in the Wisconsin climate.

Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!
