Build Sheet and Other Papers In Car?

Hey everyone, I just took delivery of the newest member of my family yesterday! I told my salesman to make sure to save the build sheet for me. Not only did he save the build sheet, but he also saved every other paper he found in the car (that's how you know you have a good salesman). I'm pretty sure two of the papers are the build sheets, but I'm not sure what the others are. Can you guys help me figure out what these other papers are?

Here are the papers I'm talking about (and an extra pic of my new baby ):

My build sheet looks different and is about twice the size. Where does it show your engine?

I believe the two smaller sheets that say 'left' and 'right' are for the doors, when they were taken off during assembly, and married up later in the process. Watch the National Geo video for more info. I found mine in the door pockets.
Hope that helps.

Mine too. About 33" wide by 15 tall...roughly.

Has all the option codes on it.

I was lucky and got my window sticker and all that crap that they tried to add on as they were pulling it out of the showroom. Croonies!!

But I saved everything too.

Just waiting for my Litho to show up so I can MegaFrame all of it.

haha!

Congrats!,
Ivan

BTW-You got the Spare tire too it looks like from the option sheet. Right?

Watching that sequence amazed me to no end. The amount of precision it takes for essentially 3 separate machines to be so in sync.

Thanks! And yes, I did get the spare. I figure it's better than the fix-a-flat stuff. I was surprised when I found out the Camaro didn't come with the spare as standard equipment and I got a real shock yesterday when I took delivery and found out that there are no rear floor mats! (come on GM, even the Aveo comes with this stuff) I thought the dealer was playing a joke on me at first haha.

So what will the build sheet look like? Can someone post a picture of it for me?

Erm...the spare is standard on the V6's. The fix-a-flat and compressor are options on the V6 and standard on the V8. As for the rear mats.....nobody who's legs reach the floor fits there anyway.

The above is not correct. The spare is an option +$150.

Yep, I had them save everything too. I even kept the white protective shipping plastic on the outside of the car. I figure, why not, I can only be happy I did 20-30 years from now. To get an idea of how improtant all that paper work is, watch Barrett-Jackson this week and weekend.

I saw a custom 2010 Camaro with the other cars that are up for sale. It'll be fun to check that out and see how much it goes for.

Send a message via Yahoo to CamaroScotty
the two 8.5x11 sheets: One in each door. (hence RIGHT and LEFT)
Pink sheet: Found inside wrap with the mats
LARGE white sheet in post 7: taped to outside of wrapped floormats
small white tag: found in several locations inside the car
white hang tag (didn't see photo'd): Hanging from mirror, on floor
Stripe install sheet 8.5x11": USUALLY on passenger seat, in cars with stripes factory installed

Here's the neat thing, you're dealer can print out the build history (before it's marked sold), and build options (anytime)

I save everything we find - I put it in an envelope with the window sticker

Actually it is correct. Sort of. Looks like the spare is an option in the US but standard in Canada. Mine came with the spare and the inflator kit is a free option. We also don't pay extra for Inferno Orange. I guess it makes up for the steep markup we have over the US prices.

HELP!!!!! My dealer cleaned my car out after being told not to let the prep shop touch it. Hence all of my build sheets are gone . I don't know what to do I've looked all over the place in my car the only place I haven't checked is the spare tire well, the car is stored away. Can Oshawa reprint them or am I just completely screwed. They knew I was a nut about this kind of stuff, they even unwrapped the whole car so all of the plastic is gone with all of the shipping bar codes too. UGH!!!!! It makes me want to

John
