Positive rear camber is the kind of crutch you use to make heavily understeering FWD cars think they want to turn.

Norm
I was thinking the same too Norm.

This is a PM i replied to yesterday and thought might be helpful to others.

can you tell me why this car is getting the rear camber it's showing? the tech claims that the alignment machine may need to be calibrated. they said to bring it back but I would rather find out first why then bring it back and tell them what's wrong

Rear Toe should be IN not OUT 0.12 per side. Toe out in the rear will adversly effect high speed straight line stability.

I am guessing the tech doesn't understand the toe and camber in the IRS work like an A-arm. When you move the toe thee camber changes and vice-versa. Tell him to loosen the toe eccentric bolt and have them in a neutral position, the eccentric not touching the 'fences' they adjust against. Then set the camber. As he adjusts the toe, readjust the camber. Repeat until you are close to the desired specs.

Ok...I read most of the posts. I see the Pedders aggressive street settings but I'd like to go more aggressive. I don't daily drive and I'm not worried about tire wear. What are the setting I should set a ZL1 at for a primarily road course car?

Aggressive Alignment For Autocross Works

After 9 months of understeer (pushing) at autocross events this year I decided to get a more aggressive alignment .......
1.8 NEG Camber

0 Degrees Toe

The car handles so much better took off 1 to 2 seconds off my times.

I will be having an alignment done next week and still have no clue what I need. I have 20"x9", 20"x10.5" wheels with 275/35, 305/35 tires. I'm lowered 1.25" with 1LE struts. Any suggestions?
