Dealer that wanted car back... followup - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Here's the outcome to the thread... Dealer wants car back???

Thanks for all the help and suggestions...

First, what the lawyer said... basically the contract was valid and there were no additional papers signed. Some dealers may ad a "spot delivery" agreement that basically spells out that if there is a problem with the financing the car would have to come back. There were options avail if the dealer didn't want to cooperate, BUT....

The dealer was more than 100% helpful... AND didn't make either of us feel uncomfortable upon our return. They were able to just get another bank (a better one in my opinion) to buy the loan and that's all. Kept all the terms the same, had everything ready for us to sign and now the hassle is behind us. The person helping us was somehow related to the owner and I feel went out of his way to solve the problem.

I do want to say that this really had nothing to do with the dealer, but rather the incompetent people at Capital One. And I appreciate that the Dealer didn't take offense to our refusal to sign that doc and went out of their way to complete the deal.

I know that my salesman is a registered member here so I'll leave it up to him if he wants to comment on the name of the dealer... At the end of the day, I'm extremely happy with them all, will complete the survey with all 5 stars and will not hesitate to return in Dec for my next vehicle when my Caddy goes back! (Maybe a 2011 SS)

NOW TO BUY MY EXHAUST!!!!!!!!
