Mylink Navigation Disclaimer
Does your factory installed Mylink Navigation give you the whole disclaimer at startup every time…requiring a button push to agree with the terms?
Mine did it for the first time today. I've had my 2015 2LT for 2 weeks now. Just wondering if it is supposed to do it every time or just every once in a while. Thanks! |

OK. Thanks for the replies. Seems odd that for a computer based system, it would not have a repeatable startup process. Mine usually says "navigation initializing" in a black bar in the middle of the screen at vehicle startup. But maybe 2 times in 2 weeks has it had a very long legal release paragraph requiring an acknowledgement.

Having said that, my boss has a Mustang with navigation and he gets the same basic message at times.

I think we are lucky we don't have to "agree" every single time like most cars!

I agree that not having a disclaimer is cool. From a technical standpoint though, I don't like when computer operated devices don't function in an identical way each time they are used. What else is it not doing correctly in a consistent manner. I've read about some random strange issues that people have with MyLink...myself included. So I was wondering if this was the tip of the iceberg.

Mylink has some glitches.. like sometimes the hvac controls get froze on the screen and don't change with the knobs, there's even a tsb on it saying its normal and there's no fix. And every once in awhile the screen will go blank for a while then reboot. It's rare and I figure it may be getting updates or who knows lol. All in all though I still love the mylink and wouldn't trade it for any aftermarket setup.. especially with those ugly dash kits available.

Do you keep the display on the NAV or radio?
I've not seen it either, but I could see it popup if you keep the display on NAV |

Try switching between the different keys? It might be a user profile based thing?
I don't know - pure speculation.
