the truetrac will behave differently depending on the gear fluid used.

Synthetic in particular (which is why Eaton says not to use it) will reduce the "locking" ability.

Ah ok. I guess you'll have to try a thicker weight (make sure it doesn't have any friction modifier) to increase the bias.

I don't think your getting the RPMS up high enough. The True-Trac acts as an open differential until power to both wheels is needed.

Once you pull out of the water and get stopped to burnout, get the rpm's up to 5000-5500, keep them there while heating the tires, then ease off the gas while rolling out. All nannies should be turned off as well. I do have a line lock...…... so that may make a difference too, but mine does a 2 wheel burnout every time doing it this way.

You should also be using 2nd gear to burnout with the TH400, so your RPM's may be lower than mine, I still have the stock transmission.

I've ran both versions of Lucas in my True-Trac and had no difference doing burnouts with either. Had my True-Trac in for about a year now.

Thanks man. I'm thinking my rpms weren't high enough as well. I'm thinking if the truetrac is bad then the drivers wheel would've never done the burnout
