Could be the torque converter...or low fluid...a few different things.

It's a pain in the ass, since there is no factory dipstick.

How many miles on your 2012 camaro? Has the auto tranny had any service whatsoever?

Here is a video which explains how to verify proper fluid level in a late model GM auto tranny. No dipstick because once the fluid level is correct, short of a direct leak, its not going anywhere.

Tancho, check the fluid level in the transmission per the video above. Before doing that, while fluid is cold, stick your finger in the hole. Look at and smell the fluid, it should be red and not smell burnt. If black and/or smells burnt = not good. You may be lucky that things will be ok with a fluid and filter change, if not your transmission/converter needs to be repaired.

GREAT video. But man, that’s an insane process to check, add and remove atf!

Nice, Hammdo, but if that SOB plug is so hard to get to, how easy is this ‘fix?’

It wasn’t too bad really. I popped the plug out pretty quickly. Whole install took about 45 minutes...
